Our Pastor
Pastor Antione J. Hutchins received Christ at an early age and has been proclaiming the Word of God ever since. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Theology and is currently matriculating at the Samuel DeWitt Proctor School of Theology, at Virginia Union University, in the Master’s of Divinity Program. He has served in all areas of ministry from Minister of Music to National Evangelist, and Senior Pastor. Pastor Hutchins is an anointed man of God who brings a reviving word to the lives of people through the principles of evangelism, salvation, and discipleship. He has been chosen by God to rebuild the lives of people who have been broken and battered by problems and circumstances presented by life.
Known for walking the pews, many say his energetic and magnetic personality in addition to the direct, no nonsense approach, sprinkled with a little humor, make it easy to be receptive to the message he brings from the Lord. Not only does he preach the word of God, he is also an anointed and skilled psalmist who brings the same deliverance to the people of God through his music ministry. Preaching is his passion; however anyone that has experienced his ministry knows that he is a worshipper. You can feel God’s greatness and authority when Pastor Hutchins ministers.
16 years after his initial call to ministry, Pastor Hutchins is now Senior Pastor of the Christian Unity Baptist Church in Waldorf, MD. In just two years under his leadership, the church has grown from 39 to more than 300 in attendance. He is on a mandate by God, not only to preach and sing, but also to teach the people of God the value of worship, while bringing the revelation of God’s word in a practical way that people can grasp and apply to everyday life. His mission is to reach the masses both those saved and unsaved.
Pastor Hutchins has established himself not just as a leader in the Kingdom of God, but in his home as well. He is a devoted and loving husband to his lovely wife, Tawanya N. Hutchins and a father to three children, Jordan, Antione Jr., and his little princess Anaya.
